I’ve grown up eating these, they’ve been my favorite for years. Usually get them from Mexico or Mexican stores thought I’d try out amazons. Loved the price but there is something wrong with the flavor. It tastes old, a kind of wood-y taste. I’ve tried 3 packets (out of 12) so far they are all spoiled. Expiration date reads 9/20/21 (a year from now) so I can’t figure out any reason they would taste like that.

I love Hormigas candy and when I got these was very disappointed. The chili was literally powder and not grained chili like the ones I’ve had. The chili powder should be like the Lucas or Tajin type of chili powder. Instead it was like powdered sugar type chili. They were absolutely horrible and they aren’t returnable or replaceable. Lost my cash and had to throw away the whole box. Very disappointed. Don’t buy these.

My coworker gave me a packet to try a few weeks ago and I was hooked so I had to buy a box here for myself. They are great quality, and the candy is fresh and is packaged well! They come packaged individually so they are good to share with friends or pack in lunches, I love em! ?

Yes, yes, absolutely YES. If you know Mexican candy but don’t live where these are accessible, BUY THEM. I bought 5 packs about a week ago and we already went through them. Buying more after this review.

Pretty good for what it is. The powder inside will make you cough if you're not careful and the powder candy doesn't leave too much food coloring which is nice.
