These are absolutely great for these two very specific uses: studying and driving. Normally I look for distractions when I’m studying or I catch myself wandering off (same page for the past 20 mins?). What really helps me is to bite a small chunk of this candy - you’ll need to adjust your bite size based on your tolerance. Now do not chew. Swirl it around and continue to do your thing (studying, driving). Over some period of time by virtue of sucking and swirling, it will disappear. Sometime later ...next bite.

After opening one of the candies, I expected a tamarind taste flavored with chili and salt. The chili and salt flavors were present, however the tamarind taste was dulled by a flavor of staleness. I was disappointed. I guess that these vendors can't determine when the candy will become state due to their large purchases. It might help them keep better quality control if they taste their product on a regular basis.

I had previously left a good review because I had a fresh batch and it was delicious. This was the first time I bought this particular Pulparindo. I ate plenty of them during my childhood, so,I ordered a second time and the tamarind was rancid old, I just threw it out and didn’t even bother to leave a review BUT this is the THIRD TIME I ordered and they were DISGUSTING to the point of having to spit it out. Very old, even though the expiration date was “fine”I’d like for Amazon to be more thorough about the quality of all of the ingestibles that are sold through their company. In this case this aren’t returnable, but that’s not the worse part, some things could make you seriously ill.

LOVE THIS CANDY!!! Usually I get these at the swap meet for $5-$7. Haven’t gone recently and remembered amazon has everything, thank goodness !This is not for people who do not enjoy spicy things. It literally says EXTRA HOT on the packaging so don’t be that guy complaining about it. Reading is essential.
